Academic Integrity Policy

In line with maintaining ethical, scientific, and professional values, Bakkah Training Center consistently strives to promote these values within its training environment. It places strong emphasis on adhering to the highest standards of academic integrity for both trainers, staff, and trainees. The center takes responsibility for fostering an environment that upholds high levels of academic integrity through the establishment of standards and guidelines that ensure integrity throughout the training process. This begins with the registration of trainees in training programs, continues during the training, and extends to the testing and results stages. The center believes that promoting academic integrity is a key part of the personal and intellectual growth of trainees. Increasing the awareness of trainees, trainers, and staff about issues related to academic integrity, through fostering an atmosphere of trust, honesty, and high ethical standards, plays a vital role in the advancement and prosperity of society by graduating individuals capable of taking responsibility for the progress and elevation of the nation, due to their strong ethical values.

Forms of Violating Academic Integrity:

  1. Cheating: Copying others' work or unauthorized use of any information or training materials during academic exams or other assigned tasks.

  2. Plagiarism and Intellectual Theft: Using others' work as if it were one’s own without giving credit to the original author.

  3. Exploitation of Collaboration: Relying on another trainee within the group to complete a shared task, or exploiting another trainee to complete individual assignments.

  4. Fabrication and Forgery: Altering or fabricating information in an exam or academic assignment, or submitting a forged medical certificate to excuse absences.

  5. External Assistance: Receiving any assistance during exams, providing information to another trainee, bringing external materials into the exam, or obtaining information not provided by the exam preparers.
  6. Receiving Unauthorized Assistance in Exams: Accepting or providing help during exams, or bringing in unauthorized external materials to gain information not provided by the exam's preparers.

  7. Impersonation: A trainee pretending to be someone else in a class, exam, or any academic task. Both the impersonator and the person who facilitated the impersonation will face consequences.

  8. Other Forms of Impersonation: Trainees selling lectures, notes, papers, or research work during their enrollment in the center or accepting compensation for work done for others without prior written approval from the center's management will face disciplinary actions. Trainees submitting fake documents, petitions, or signatures will also face disciplinary measures, and may be required to withdraw from the program without compensation or credit.

  9. Violation: When principles of integrity are violated in an e-learning environment, the relevant authorities implement a range of measures and penalties to ensure justice and uphold the integrity of the educational process.

Cheating and Impersonation Prevention Measures

Cheating Prevention Measures:

Bakkah Training Center adopts a distinctive model for monitoring student performance and activities through electronic systems using specialized global platforms and custom-developed systems. These systems work together to generate reports that monitor trainees’ compliance with academic standards.

  • Monitoring Compliance: The administration logs all internet data used by trainees to access electronic systems. It verifies logins from different locations to detect when trainees attempt to outsource tasks.

  • Disabling Copy-Paste: The copy-paste function is disabled on the assignment portals, and repeated, non-personalized work is flagged for review.

  • Tracking Platform Access: Trainees' platform logins and the full duration of their lecture attendance are monitored and recorded.

  • Exam Access: Trainees are admitted to electronic exams when the exam window opens. No entry is allowed after 30 minutes of the start, and no trainee can leave the exam within the first 30 minutes.

Impersonation Prevention Measures:

Impersonation Prevention Procedures at Bakkah Training Center:

  • Accurate Registration and Identity Verification:
Trainee registration requires entering personal details, such as a national ID or residence permit, which are verified through the center’s electronic systems to ensure accuracy and authenticity of the registered individual.

  • Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):
The center applies two-factor authentication to secure access to electronic systems. A verification code is sent to the registered mobile number or email, which the trainee must enter upon login.

  • Using Facial Recognition or Voiceprint Technology:
Facial recognition or voiceprint technology is activated when the trainee accesses electronic systems or takes exams, ensuring that the trainee's identity matches the registered data.

  • Device Monitoring and Registration:
The electronic systems record the devices used by the trainee (such as IP addresses and device identifiers). The administration is alerted if the trainee attempts to log in from an unregistered device, helping detect any impersonation attempts.

  • Continuous Monitoring During Remote Exams via Cameras:
For remote exams, webcams are used to monitor trainees during the test, ensuring they are not replaced by another individual.

  • Periodic Auditing of Usage Patterns:
The center analyzes trainees' login patterns and system usage, such as frequent logins from different geographic locations or unusual times, to identify any suspicious activity indicative of potential impersonation.

  • Strict Disciplinary Actions for Detected Impersonation Cases:
The center enforces a strict policy against impersonation, which includes canceling the trainee’s registration and notifying relevant authorities if necessary.

Review Mechanism for Trainee Activities:

Bakkah Training Center uses a specialized global system to monitor trainee performance and detect violations of academic rules as follows:

  • Tracking Attendance: The system logs full lecture attendance times.

  • Platform Access Permissions: Access details are logged for future reference if necessary.

Exam Procedures:

  • Before the Exam: Trainees are allowed to enter the exam venue 30 minutes before the start. Exiting is not permitted until half the allotted time has passed.

  • During the Exam: All trainees must place their bags, phones, and any electronic devices at the front of the exam room. If a trainee is found with a phone, it will be considered an attempt to cheat, even if the phone was not used. If the phone is used, it is classified as cheating.

Cheating Detection and Investigation Procedures:

  • The invigilator asks the trainee to submit the electronic exam and close their device.
  • If the trainee refuses, the supervisor is contacted.
  • A cheating incident report is completed, answering all questions and submitted with the attendance records to initiate disciplinary actions, including disqualifying the trainee from the subject.

Failure Due to Absence:

  • The system monitors and logs trainees’ platform access, and full attendance is required for live lectures.
  • Daily attendance and engagement in content, assignments, exercises, and discussions are recorded on the platform.
  • The system provides a service for trainees to inquire about attendance and absences.
  • Exceeding the allowed absence limit (25% of the total course hours) will result in disqualification from the final exam.
  • If a trainee is absent from the final exam without an official, acceptable excuse, they will be notified of their failure in the subject.

Electronic Attendance Policy

Electronic attendance is considered one of the keys to the success of learners in e-learning and distance education. In this regard, electronic attendance refers to the virtual presence of the learner connected to the internet on the e-learning portal or virtual classroom through a computer or mobile device, and acknowledging whether the learner is present in real-time.

Key Policies of Electronic Attendance:

Virtual attendance is considered equivalent to traditional attendance in terms of calculating hours and the minimum number of hours required to be present, with this ratio not less than 25% of the total contact hours for the course. The e-Learning and Simulation Unit is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and tracking student access to e-learning systems and virtual classrooms. Automatic monitoring and recording of electronic attendance and absence for trainees in training courses through virtual classroom systems. Automatic monitoring and recording of electronic attendance and absence for trainees in the LMS educational platform. At the end of the course, the electronic attendance report is sent to the management of Bakkah Training Center, where the trainee must attend at least (75%) of the training hours allocated for the registered course. When a trainee is absent from attending the course, they forfeit their right to receive the certificate or claim a refund of the fees unless they provide an official excuse, and Bakkah Training Center reserves the right to accept or reject the excuse.
